Looking good! What brand of paint did you decide to go with?
It's going to look great when it's done! Again, you got the deal of a lifetime on that tractor, unless you consider free even better but for this day and age a $100 is like free. Good for you!

Majic paint from tractor supply. I've heard a lot of bad about it but not sure why. I painted a gilson tractor with it two years ago and its held up.

Nice! I've heard a few negs to. But there's always someone who will have something neg to say about everything. I've used a few of there rattle cans and I thought it was fine. I just bought a quart with there hardener and reducer. Haven't used it yet but I think it'll be just fine. If you used it and you like it that's all that matters regardless of what others say.

Thanks.

Getting things done on it. Still a long way to go until it's ready for primer.

Your moving along just fine. Take your time and enjoy the ride.
Unfortunately I don't have the time or space to do it the proper way so I'm just giving it a facelift from front to back a little atta a time. When I relocate I'll eventually tear it all apart and replace and repair everything that needs to be done to make it new again.....

Wow, that's looking good!

Quick question, what should I paint the engine with? Do I need high temp paint?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
