Congrats on the new to you 2182!! Those Kubota gassers will really spoil you.. plenty of power and super slick!!

It is hard to let them go... I only sell if I know the new owner will appreciate and take care of my prize!!

Still doesn't feel quite right though!!

I think he's fixing that 9 up for his kid. He had the Onan out working on it when I was there.
As far as the plans for the 21, I want rear 3pt and PTO so I can use a rear mount Haban sickle mower.

You should find the haban first, the 3 point and PTO can be found much easier.

Maybe I'll give dad's JD number 5 a try.

Got the 2182#2 fixed up enough to let the kids drive it around.
Runs good, puffs a bit of smoke when started then clears up. And it's doing that less and less the more it gets driven.
Number 2 son seems to have taken a liking to it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
