CC30 Small Bolt fell off...help identify?

Appears to me to that there are no "slots" but raised ridges on the end. But maybe slots.

If it has ridges, I think it is some sort of one time use, "drive into a hole" rivet type of fastener. The one pictured looks like it might have never been installed.

If it even came from his rider, it might be a factory extra that was dropped into the machine somehow during assembly and it finally rattled around to where it could fall out.

Yes I clicked the picture. No. I cannot tell if it does or does not have threads. That is why I wrote "Can't tell if the end is threaded".

My phone is a 6 year old POS with poor resolution, but I somehow feel like shouldn't have to justify that.

Chad there seems to be a lot of things that you don't feel you should explain or justify. If you are going to help the guy out.... I would think you would want to know what it is you are looking for. Sweet of you to take the time, but it's a needle in a haystack my friend. It doesn't even look like a pin that would be used on a tractor anyway. Looks to me more like it came off a garage door opener.

This is true. I've never been much for wanting to have to explain myself, and probably never will be. Most of my frustration came from me perceiving some of the comments as facetious, which I still believe they were, but oh well, I'll just leave well enough alone.

I've not seen a "bolt" without a thread, so it is a one time pin with punched retaining"ears" not meant to be removed after assembly.
I sure as hell wouldn't loose sleep over it.

Now that you mention that.... it does sorta look like one of those pins. There's also a similar pin like that on my electrical garage door opener. The emergency lever that you use to open the door when the power goes out has a pin kinda like that.
