Not technically a cub but I finally remembered to bring home an impact so I could get the blade off my IH push mower so I could finally get the engine apart, the bottom crank bushing is worn out and the crank moves around.

Pulled the blades off the zero turn and turned them around. The boy sharpened the blades last week and got them on upside down. I am sure it looked right from underneath!!

I did get on the Original and drive around the shop. Just because!

I pulled the fenders off the 1211 so I can access the leaking auto valve and to make room to install the dual hydrualics.

Pulled the broken engine mount bolt out of the 1200.

Put wing nut on my 149 air filter, the PO had a nut on there.

Ordered a new spark plug, wire, air filter and fuel line for the 149. Also found a muffler mount / heat shield online and ordered it.

Still looking for a pressure line.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
