Thanks so much for all the help. I’m going go ahead and order up a new harness tonight. I figure it’s best to make it right, since it’s such a nice old tractor.

A new harness is relatively cheap ... remove one connection at a time till you've replaced the whole thing. Starting at the S/G is not a bad way to go.

Jon: Yes, it would run till out of gas or stalled. Then it would run the battery down

Hard to get more than 50 yrs out of a wiring harness these days!

Someone put a goofy long steering shaft on it. Nice tractor.

Good man, and yes that IS a really nice old girl and you'll be glad you treated her to a new harness. FYI, it originally came with an electric lift where that lever now is. The 147 one unique machine.

Oh I have the electric lift, it just needs to be put back on.
