If the price is acceptable to you, go test drive it. Listen to it run, check for oil around the pan and drop axles. Check in the tell-tale crack area between the lower radiator and the engine block (the ear on the lower right of the engine is a structural member to connect the front bolster to the engine--notorious for cracking there).

Judge whether you'll need tires soon; prices vary, but you can price a pair of 4.00x12 for the front and a pair of 8.3x24 or 9.5x24 for the rear. Also remember to price tubes.

Run it for a minimum of 15 minutes to see if the coil will overheat and shut down the engine and/or if the fuel system is clear and unobstructed.
