That's something I'll look in to also Jsoluna, thanks.
The only reason I was looking at the Surplus Center hydraulic hoses is because they are $11 each. Way overkill for what's needed but friendly on the wallet.

Yeah, that's an amazing price for hydraulic hose. You can barely buy the two hose ends for that price. A local hose crimping shop here would charge 55.00/each for that.

Oak why do you think it is an oil line leaking? Do you see fresh oil running from the hose clamped line? You know better than I where the leak is (you beinng on location) but I had a similar problem with an 1872 and I was sure that I had a leak at the fitting close to the engine. After power washing the crud away from the area I could see oil drip/splash on the tin below the fittings. The fittings were tightened but the leak continued. Turns out it was the oil pressure sending for the red light that was leaking at the gasket between the bakeolite and metal fitting. It would sparattically let oil drip to the line fittings and then to the tin below. I still feel a little foolish about all the time spent chasing that leak down. I only admit to it here in case it will be helpful to others. Steve

Steve, I'm not sure it is a hose leaking but the po cut the crimp off and installed 2 hose clamps. I have not seen this engine run in years but it looks like it was leaking at one time.
