Yes, I hear you. Thanks for your input.

Last Winter I completely missed a 12" snowfall because I had spent the night clearing 4" at a time, X3.

I read your comments to my wife,

Steve REALLY needs another tractor so he can use either/or.
but she thinks 8 tractors should be enough. I happen to agree with her but I am in the process of changing over to Cub Cadet and have only 2, the 1872 I bought about a year ago and a 1650 I've had for 24 years and has seen maybe 50 hours since I refurbed it shortly after buying it.

I'm already looking for another 1872 or 2072 to solve the problem long term.

.....but there is nothing like moving snow with a NF!!! My 73 is a great little buddy and always surprises me when a challenge presents itself. Maybe you need one from each decade.

If the snow is too high, I angle the blade and raise it making 2 passes. Whatever you decide, there is nothing like moving snow with a cub!

Load and chain the rear tires on that 1650. It will make a GREAT snow pusher!

And Cub Cadet 123 is exactly right, it doesn't have to be a monster tractor to be a good snow pusher. I used a 123 for a number of years with fantastic results.

I've made 4-5' piles easy with my 147 and blade.

This was last winter.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
