Very nice. Your work looks great. I would like to do the same with my 2086. How much horizontal movement do you need for the lift cable ?

Nice job. Only issue I can see is that you may need to add some guides for the pulleys or maybe deeper groove pulleys.

The cable moves almost to where the clamp hits the pulley at the front of the tractor, probably about 4 inches of movement. This lifts the plow about 8 inches. It could certainly be less if you were to configure it differently.

Thanks that will help a lot. My 2086 doesn't have a cat o so I'll need to find a different power lift point.
Thanks Dave

I see that Xtreme Motorworks now offers the Haban push blade brackets for the SGTs for sale. If someone wanted to attempt a modification of a plow similar to what is in this thread, that would be one less thing that would have to be fabricated.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
