Pretty much the same at my place. She takes care of the inside and I do the outside. She has a border around her flowers cause I told her if it fits under the mower deck it gets cut.

I feel your pain..... my wife wanted to help mow, so I set up a second mower for her a couple years ago. Ok.... well, I gave her the good tractor and I took the "second" mower, lol. She struggled with the pattern also. My yard isn't that many acres... maybe 2 at the most.... but it's very long and not very deep. I switch directions every time I mow also, but I lay it off in lands like you would plowing and move across the yard that way. As long as she followed me, all was well. I tried getting her to finish up a large area while I mowed around the 5 million trees we seem to have, along with the 2 buildings, house, kids toys, ditch, and on and on... but she couldn't figure it out. I'm sure it made it go faster, but it sure didn't seem like it. So, I just "go it alone" now.
Now... on the flip side, when we used to clear snow in town in the winter for local businesses on their parking lots, she was great help!! Learned how to run a Cub and a blade and feed the snow to me while I ran a snow blower. She did great at that! Mowing.... not so much, LOL. |

My dad has never let my mom operate a tractor. When she is doing her flowers she has to push the cart around by hand. It's the dumbest thing ever. He lets her run the trimmer though.

My wife has enough trouble driving a car. No mowers for her.

Your yard is gorgeous! I dream of having grass like that!!
Someday I will.... when I once again own my turf, lol. Only bad thing about divorce is starting over from scratch in the middle of your life. But it was soooooooo worth it. |

I make my two outside rounds, then it's back and forth. Blowing out, then in...
Makes for nice lines, even though there is NO competition out here with neighbors.

I also go around everything twice, then a pattern. We have a young couple across the street. She mows the grass with a rider. She throws the grass in the street, flower beds, sidewalk and driveway. Then proceeds to sweep the sidewalk and driveway, sometimes. One of these days I'll be a jerk and walk over and show her how to save some work.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
