Good eye!!!
I do own a Simplicity Landlord that I purchase new in 1996(pre Cub Cadet days).

The Landlord has a manual transmission.
From what I've been told there was around 600 manual trans Landlords made.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
