This thing is so cool! I think it will do exactly what I want it to do. I have an area behind my place that I have been fighting to get grass to grow, all I want to do is knock down the high stuff and I want what I cut to say on the ground to help control erosion. Looks like I found the answer. Did a little test cut behind my shop with it today. The regular mower blows the cuttings away and cuts them to fine.

I have a 84" flail mower pulled behind my Ford 420 and I love it. Nice and compact behind the tractor.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
