Well it's looking like Im not going to be getting the Original with Mott mower. Got a call today from the sellers son telling me that his father won't be able to meet me at the time we had agreed upon. Apparently he has figured out what he has and has went back on the deal his ad has been changed as well

I just cannot believe people. I have both CL ads saved on my phone where he completely changed the description and price. I'm tempted to show up there tonight anyway and see what he has to say....

what a shame! I was rooting for you!
I once had a 1959 IH Metro delivery van that had a great body. I put it on Craigslist and the day that I made a deal on it, I got a call from a guy offering me twice my asking price if I would sell it to him. I told him a deal is a deal and that's not how I work. The guy that bought it got a good deal and I should have never sold it. Sorry your deal didn't work out.

I too have seen both ads this man has posted, old and new, it sounds like a similar situation when i bought my 100, fully optioned, less a motor. someone had called the gentleman shortly after we struck a deal, told him what he had, but luckily, my seller held true to the deal. He mentioned once i arrived that someone had called him and offered him over $200 more than what we agreed, but he holds pride in his "word," as do i, and as every self respecting person should. Go get em, and keep us posted |

I would do just that. You have proof, you made a deal and set a time, there's no reason he shouldn't hold up his end. I've done this, made a deal for something that I later found out (before the item was gone) I could have gotten a good deal more for but I stuck to the original deal. It's very shady when people do this. But like someone else said, people are different when you are face to face with them as opposed to over the phone. Good luck with whatever you end up doing

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
