Flashing oil indicator.

My CC FMZ50 has a 22hp Kohler v-twin engine.

My engine model no is FR651V

I am really confused. Your first statement says a Kohler engine but your second statement says a Kawasaki engine.

So, which one do you have...???

My GTX 2154 LE is set to start blinking as a reminder every 50 hrs to put you on a 50 hr oil change cycle.

Quote: The indicator monitor will also remind the operator of maintenance intervals for changing the engine oil. The LCD will alternately flash the recorded hrs "CHG" & "OIL" for 5 minutes, after every 50 hrs of operation elapse. The maint interval lasts for 2 hrs (from 50-52, 100-102, 150-152, etc).
The LCD will flash as described above for 5 minutes every time the tractors engine has been started during the maintenance interval. Before the interval expires, change the oil as instructed in the engine op manual.

NOTE: The hrs of operation are recorded any time the key is rotated out of STOP position, regardless of whether the engine is started.

finsruskw, My machine flashes for approx 2 minutes, I would expect as you indicate, the flashing will cease after a given interval, thank you for your reply.

Gentlemen, I cut my lawn and after approx 5\6 minutes the flashing oil light and the "chg oil" message stopped.
Thanks to everyone that responded, your input was very much appreciated.
