If you will start a thread in the GT section below someone will have the info you need. Not everyone looks up in the new member area.
I know Matt G. did a repower on his 682 and used a 12hp kohler. I'm sure there are others. You don't have to wait till you have learned enough to help to post here, no one will yell and some are just waiting to help others.  Welcome and I think you will spend a lot of time here! Randy

welcome to the site!!! 982 are nice tractors i had one over 10 years now i put a honda on my when the onan blow up you can use a mag18 in them that what they used in later supers small engine warehouse has both honda and mag 18's. if you need any thing else for it let me know i might have on my parts tractor.
