Around these parts, if it already in the scrap yard theres no chance of recovery. Scrap yards will not let you buy whats in their yard.
Thats not always a good thing as I have seen lots of reusable machines in the scrap piles. |

Once things hit the scales here in nashville thats the end of it. The yard wont let you buy it from them and to rub it in your face, they crush it as soon as its unloaded. In fact they have had law suits agianst them for crushing trucks people drive up in to unload and the operators pick up truck and all and throws it in the pile. If im lucky enough i save things from the crusher but can save it all though.

Up the road from there is a set of disks and 2 cultivators. I havent stopped to ask what the guy wanted. Can anyone give me an idea of what I may pay for stuff like that. I really have no use for them, as I have a troybuilt. But, if the price is right...?

The difference between SCRAP and CRAP is only the S. That is how most scrap yards look at everything they take in but without the S.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
