Almost every time I use the tractor. I'm a busy guy. Seems like I always end up mowing in the dark.
Besides, I push snow too, and I know you did that in the dark too! Hard to clear a parking lot when it's full of cars! They're usually empty at night!

I do my best work in the dark and tractors are not involved.

ya I work between 70 and 100 hours during the asphalt season. Mon thru Saturday, so my acres get mowed in the dark most the time.

Everyone used to think it absurd to cut grass at night, but I often times find myself hurrying to get finished before dark... If you had very good lighting, it wouldn't be so bad.

And I always push snow at night!

Sooo... Any update on the LED front lights?

Also, J, how much were your regular 35W Grote bulbs and where can we buy them? They seem like a huge improvement over stock from the picture.

Thanks scgt... Are they similar to what J is showing below with the Grote lights? They seem like the sun vs. stock. Mine both have GE bulbs in them now but I have no clue what they are.

Oh sure, I'd prefer the LED for the amp load..... but for that kind of money I can put a 90 amp alternator on it!!
I'm still curious about the performance of HD's LEDs.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
