Yea, alot of fun clearing the snow off the drive and a block of sidewalk. It was the first time I ever operated a snowthrower/cub combination, so it took some learning. First thing was to throttle back a bit (It don't have the original throttle cable) to keep traction and sit at the rear of the seat. It worked well throttled back a bit too and then there was room to increase RPM when it loaded down. (Also a little quiter too). Read a post on the site from someone about how to start the tractor too.
The mower deck (42-1 U1114) is going to take some work, I am sure it was sitting in water for a while because the spindles are pretty rusty and brgs seized up. I found some great information on this site about the seals and bearing to use. I live in Ida Grove. Just a bit of history; the CASE IH dealership where I bought the tractor is in SD and I used to work there for 7 years. This belonged to the owner who I worked with and learned alot from. The only bad thing is battery acid leaked all over the frame, hydro cover, ect and made a big mess of rust, otherwise it is all in very good condition. I like your tiller and blower setups on the 1450, I'll bet your glad to have come across the tillers. Do you see alot of cub cadet stuff in the area?

You sure have a nice collection of tractors and implements! I like the setup and am now rebuilding the mower deck spindles. I would like my next investment to be a tiller and of course that will have to come with a tractor (WF or NF). I have just three lots to mow and looking forward to getting the mower under there and running that too.

You'll love mowing with your 127. They are an all around fun tractor to use! I had one for a year or so and it was a great tractor!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
