Final product...
I finally got around to updating. I've run about 10 pans through the process with the same results and I'm very impressed. The best part is I can hook it up and walk away. Looking forward to putting some tractor parts in as soon as I get more time.

the spots that are rusty leave black scale where the rust was...it's almost like a dust and washes or can be blown off with compressed air. i'm new to this but it works great if you have the time to let the parts sit and do their thing.

none taken...when I started with this pan you couldn't even tell what it was. turned out to be one of the nicest pans in the bunch. I've run several thru 4-5 seasonings with lard and they are almost black and cook really well.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
