Congratulations on a nice looking original 800 Mike! If it is not too much of a bother, could I ask you to post pictures of your starter and air cleaner. Those are missing off of my 800 and some good pictures would help me learn exactly what I am looking for. Thank you for considering this.

Those are the pricy items Maxwell. Mine was missing them too, and the muffler and aluminum heat shroud mount, ouch is all I have to say

Good find Mike, being the rarest cub they sure do pop up often. And you have a few and this one looks great

No, I didn't Billy. I was there and the guy with the 800's was Ed Good. He has a mess of them!

I know. I paid dearly for the muffler already, just missing the starter and air cleaner. I will probably use a 1200 air cleaner and I may just move my starter up higher, even though the PO has already cut and rolled down a small part of the frame rail.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
