Here is my big project this year. I plan to grow a 1000lb pumpkin in this patch.

Here I am using Troybilt Horse to till with, I hope to have the Cub Tiller working next year.

Well, I planted some trees last weekend to serve as both a wind break and a privacy screen. My new neighbour looks like he will be a royal pain, I hope I am wrong though! So to try and keep the peace and to add some value to my yard, I went with the tree planting idea. The last thing I wanted to do was to put up a fence. I have enough things to maintain around here, a fence would be just one more BIG thing to look after.

I forgot to take the pictures of the completed project. I guess I was ready for a beer sooner than I thought that day! I will get some and post the finished product.

The next step once the rain stops is to do some weeding and spraying of grass on the walkway.

Well, the dozer showed up last week as well. But it rained the next day. Then Monday rolled around and he had to come pick it up again in order to finish a septic bed because of the final inspection. So I am in back in the waiting pattern now! I just want to get my lawn leveled out and get the dog on grass seed planted while it is still cool and rainy out! The last thing I want to do is have to water grass for the next two weeks after planting it!

At least you're starting fresh. I have about 30 Oaks in my yard and am loosing them to wilt really bad. To make matters worse the elms are going just as fast! So I am trying to figure out what to put in as fast growing replacements so I don't lose all of my shade.

Good luck on that one! I cut down 4 Elm's this winter thanks to "the bug"! Two of them were almost picture perfect 2 years ago. I put a couple flowering crab apple trees in their place. I have 2 shade tree's left on my lawn. They both are crappy swamp maples, but they serve the purpose. I have 6 other red maples I planted with a red oak. But I will be 6 feet under by the time they get big enough to shade anything more than the dog. It is sad to say the least but not much I can do really. Thinking about planting a couple white birch along the property line too, but just not ready to part with $120/tree just yet.

Let's see, I have to put the 70 back together, finish refurbing the 450 blower, clean up my shops, replace my treated deck boards (400 sq/ft) with composite along with a new railing, and plant the garden this week after a final tilling. I think that will hold me til summer

Not sure what he would be more annoyed about....me using his machine or cutting the lock on the dash to start the little puppy! :biggrin2.gif:

Oh well, I guess I can only hope that he does charge as much because I let him take longer to finish it?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
