Locking gas cap for tractors

treble hooks strategically located should get the thieves attention.
Nobody will die but they sure will bleed when they get stuck.

Don't booby trap anything, you can be charged if someone gets hurt, even if they were trespassing.

Lock the shed, don't leave the gas cans out.

Ok I've confirmed the gas theft theory, my other neighbor said and entire gas can was missing from the back of his truck as well. Probably the person put the gas in their car, then filled the can with the gas from my mowers for later use. Bastards.

I wish I had a shed large enough to fit my mower in, but alas I just have to keep it covered outside.

find a free truck cap and put legs on it. What we did when i was a kid before dad and i had money to build a shed.

if your neighbor hood is that bad a locking gas cap will not protect your gas. they will punch a hole in a gas tank to steal gas from a car. it is likely kids. the gas can with water/gas in it does no real damage but they most likely wont come back for more "gas" from your house.
