Those fingers are a big no-no. It was one of the first things i did and was warned about. I now have handles bolted to the fender pan. Mike

Fingers under the fenders might be worse on this one!!

If I am going to fab some front axle spindles, I would rather use grade 5 bolt.
Or just C1018 cold rolled round stock.
I would rather the spindle bend before failure versus snap.

Yes, that way instead of just snapping they will absorb some and bend. That way if you do bend it you can at least get it to the trailer lol.
