I second that gravel is not a problem for these throwers. But be careful not to get a frozen apple or dog turds... I put a frozen apple through a garage door 100 feet away. These throwers are great, you will be impressed with how it works on that tractor. The hydraulic lift will be fantastic. I bet you can't wait for winter now!

I've got a 125 and a 3.5" pulley on my QA42A. Only got to use it once last winter with some really heavy wet slushy stuff, and it still threw it a good 25 feet.

Like others have said, hydro is the key, and ride the governor. You want to keep the auger full and make that kohler bark.

Here's another vote of confidence in the QA42A matched to the 149, which is exactly what I have. Though the Winter of 2010-11 was my first with this set-up, it handled everything that our Ohio storms dished out with ease. I do recommend you adjust your skids (I replaced mine this summer) so as not to drag the bottom of the thrower on your surface.

plowing snow 003.jpgI have to set my skids down this year because of my gravel drive way. I got a rock stuck in the auger last year. It stoped the 1812 it almost burnt the belt up!.If you have a magnum in a cub you know how much power they have. I love mine! Heres a pic of me plowing with it i don't have pics of me snowblowing sorry.

Can you tell me where I can get the adapter mounting kit for a model 1A tiller to mount on a IH Cub Cadet model 782 garden tractor?

I have been looking for a couple months without any leads...

I am located in Kansas.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

MrGetRDone41. Did you have to do anything "special" to use the QA 36 with your model 1812? I had a 1450 that just died and now have a chance to get an 1812 but I want to use my QA36 with it.
