I messaged the guy and he has taken the ad down, I'm not sure if he will be relisting it.

All of the lower parts that are rusted are made from very heavy metal so everything should clean up and be usable, you can also see that the dirt line on the wheel doesn't match up to the dirt line on the rest of it which would indicate that the wheel has turned recently. I got way more out of mine and it was in worse condition.
I'm not going to debate price (because the price on these seems to be all over the place).... but in all fairness, the cover plate is still in the hopper. Can't see if the bottoms are rusted out.

The shovels that slice the dirt are hard to get scoured up to actually work without soil building up on them. I guess this is all assuming that someone was actually going to use it. If you just want it for a show piece then I guess the sky is the limit on price. I mean, you can still buy them new. They only start at $1400.....

I haven't used it either.

What in the HECK is that? Is that a perforated wheel running ahead of the palnter? Is it homemade? The seed hopper looks almost like someone chopped a section off the legume hopper on my drill.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
