No complaints.
However, in order to use the choke cable, you will have to remove the choke lever from the shaft (grind off the mushroomed shaft).
Turn the lever 180 and put back on with a bit of weld.
Although I have a welder to do that, I am still flipping the choke with a finger instead.

Anyways...........
Been running one once a week to mow since April.
No complaints.

I finally got around to the choke lever and shaft fix.
On the aftermarket carb I referenced above, the shaft is brass.
So the choke lever had to be braised back on after rotating it 180 degrees.
One of the shop guys I work for actually tig welded it with silicon-bronze filler.

older post but hey someone else may want to read this. I brought one of those carbs a week ago, same carb, same place. It runs great, idles good and revs nice, I did not remove choke to fix it, all I did was cut a triangle piece of metal and drilled a small hole in it, I then migged it onto the side of the existing flange of the choke. It looks original and operates good, took only a little bit of time to do and it was an easy fix, the flange is metal not brass, the shaft I don't know, could be brass or metal, did not check.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
