Hey good morning Jim!!! How are you this morning???

Thank you very much for excellent advice!!! I really do appreciate it. It really is something how there are people out there just waiting for a chance to mess things up for us. I tell you. Thanks again Jim. You have yourself a great day.

By the way, thank you very much the comment about the drums. I really appreciate it. We'll see how long it takes to sell them.

MATT

Matt,

I've also sold things on Craigslist. Sold both items a day after posting.

Hey good morning everyone!!! How's everyone doing this morning???

Well guys, I posted my drum set on Craigslist. And believe it or not, I've already received my first spam email.LOL!!! I can't believe how fast these people operate!!! It's like they are just waiting for a new ad to pop up.lol

Here's the email that I received:

Hello,

Am interested in buying your item. I would have loved to come, check it out
myself but I just got married and am presently on honeymoon to Hawaii with
my husband.I would love some surprise inclusions and replacements in my
husband's studio on our return.

Please do withdraw the advert from craigslist as I wouldn't mind
adding $50 for you to take it down, so that I can be assured that the item
is held for me. I should believe it is in good condition as stated in the ad.
I will be making the payment via a Certified Check, which my secretary will
mail across to you.

I'll be picking the item from you with the aid of a mover. My Mover
will be coming to pick it from you once the Certified Check has been
cashed. Please I will need both your full name and physical address
along with your phone number to issue out the payment.

Regards,
Francisca

So what do you guys think???? Funny part about all this, is that I clearly state on my ad that I only accept cash. It's a crazy world that we live in.lol HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!!!

MATT

Wow she's on a buying spree!

She just offered to buy a mattress I have listed on CL.

One other word of advice for craigslisting.
If someone wants to stop and see something I have listed I'll usually meet them in a public parking lot. Keeps them from knowing where I live.

I might be a little paranoid....

Cub61,
It's like they are just waiting for a new ad to pop up.lol

They are! I listed my 100 on CL. I got an email almost exactly like yours. I replied that I only accepted cash. I took the ad down a couple of days latter because there was no interest in it.

Then I reposted the same ad when I found out how much it was going to cost me to repair my MC. I got the very same email again! BTW I decided not to sell the 100. The HD will have to wait.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
