I was able to check the spiral pin this morning, and the pin is in place. Any next suggestions would be helpful. Thanks guys

I agree with Roland. since the spirol pin is not the culprit. is the clutch disc contaminated? oily? I guess the only other question is pedal effort. does the pedal take considerably less effort to press than before? if the spring broke or if the pin holding the spring broke(if I recall held in place by a spring) you wont get any clamping force from the pressure plate and therefore no frictional force - in short that dog wont hunt

Thank you guys very much, with your advice and inspecting the clutch as I work it, it must be the plates. The force of the clutch is the same, I can see the plates open/close however, their doesn’t seem to be enough contact with the clutch and the belt. If I remove the clutch assembly, does anyone have any recommendation where I can take it in Wisconsin to have it rebuilt, or a place I can send it to to have it professionally rebuilt? It looks relatively “not too difficult” however I’d like to assure it’s rebuilt the best it can be. Thanks again you all for your direction and advice.

Before you tear it apart, double check the pin. They can shear and stay in the hole looking like every things ok. Sometimes there is enough drag to spin everything with no load but it will slip with a load.

Default Cub original clutch repair
Hi group,
Does anyone have any suggestions where I could send my original clutch to have it inspected and repaired? I had the clutch out and cleaned it, I didn’t disassemble the clutch, re-installed and it just isn’t “grabbing”. I’m located near Milwaukee Wisconsin.. Thanks!!
