Thank you everyone for your encouragement. I plan on just taking the wheels off of the dead axle for now but leaving the rest in place in case it is ever needed. It is definitely farmer made and is chained so I may be able to raise/ lower it. The auger on the back turns very slow, but from what I can gather it was intended for filling planters or handling any seed that there is a risk of damaging. And yes the back and sides of the grain box are removable for other uses maybe hauling cubs to a show

Thank you Mr. Twoton there was also the standard aluminum scoop that's in every grain truck and under the corn sacks I found where the mice had relocated all the seat padding there is nothing left under the vinyl cover

Very nice truck, I would love to have it. That will look great with a few Cubs on the back.

Small update on project old blue. I received my new rims today these are a single piece 22.5 size to replace the old Firestone 20 split rims. The wheel company said running these wheels with 9r tires is the closest you can get to the original height and width of the originals. The companys name is wheels now, out of Wisconsin they were great to deal with, and specialize in older, less common wheel solutions. Here's some pics

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
