Well, Amazon will charge over $50.00 for shipping, plus their price is $40 more. The ad says "no tools are needed for assembly".
But it's made in USA, so I'm thrilled about that. |

Well, I finally got my lawn sweeper...the Agri-Fab 42". Rural King had them on sale for $189 a few weeks ago, but then suddenly the price went up. I kept an eye on the price and saw them on sale again for $189, so I jumped on it. It's still in the box now but will dig into that tomorrow. It'll be a good project to do while it's ...(wait for it....) raining.

Got to be thinking positive, what else would you be doing while it rained?
![]() It will be worth the time and 2 or 3 six packs to get it put together and enjoy your next mowing day. Oh Yes,,, PICS AND VID OF USING IT is a must!!! hehehehehe

Well, it didn't rain near as much as it said in our forecast, but I got the lawn sweeper put together. I can tell you this....Agri Fab has a really handy Video Instruction Guide portion on their website, and it's wayyyy more helpful than the written instructions when doing the assembly on this thing. For any of you who have this sweeper, how far down can you adjust the brushes? Instructions say to set the depth to about a half inch below the top of the grass. Does that work well at that setting? I'll get some photos tomorrow, hopefully.

It should work very well, at that setting. Can't wait to see your pics.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
