Default 1810

I put some up dated pictures on of my 1810, still at my son-in-laws house in Al., planning on bring it home in a few weeks, Looking to get a front push blade for it, checking around, got some leads on two different ones, just waiting to hear from them, does have a hydo leak, around top , I have not looked at it, My son-in-law just cut his yard with it, said it cut great. Can't wait to get it to the house. Got big plans for it.

That is likely one of the auto release valves that allow the machine to be pushed small distances when powered off. They tend to leak. A guy on ebay repairs them for less than what new ones cost. There are 2, I suggest having them both done if they look to be of the same vintage.

If this is the same guy then the repair cost is $5 cheaper then brand new ones from this supplier in the tech section of the site.

Tractor looks really clean !! Wash and wax it and you will be surprised how the paint will look.

You will love the power of the twin Kohler and how smooth it runs. I have several older Cubs that i like , but the 82 Series with the twins are my favorites.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
