Default Foot Rest Mods

In the event you guys look close at the pics - I replaced the rubber foot rest with 3M Abrasive stair tread application from the Depot. $6.97 for a sheet 6" x 24" so needed to buy two of them as they are 13" long ea. Still a great value and even matches the CC Yellow pretty well and works great!

Thanks for all the nice comments and feedback. What started this was a relief valve failure led to cleaning up the hydro, which led to repainting the rear fenders, then the new rear hitch plate, then to the mower deck R&R then the side panels, then the ag tires and repaint of the rims..

Really the credit is due to sites like this and seeing what you guys have done that gave me the inspiration to invest the time to get it looking and running good. Thanks a lot!

Carl

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
