I have pulled both (10" and 12") with my 1811..... and I think the 12" pulls close to equal to the 10".

Nice find on the plow. Your 149 will have no problem pulling it.

Something does not look quite right with the 'point' on that plow...it's either broken off or really worn.
10 3/4" wide is probably a 10" plow. A 12" plow would be closer to 12" than 10". |

looks like the point is broken off. You'll want to replace that you'll have a hard time getting it in the ground and maintaining a consistent depth. They're still available from brinly.

Your 149 will have no issue in the area of power, all you got to do is put some weights on it and it will pull it just fine. You might be able to get your point fixed by building it up with some weld and grinding it, but I'm sure it would be much easier to just get a new one.

i looked at it real close, and I believe rather then being broken it is only worn down. don't let the fresh paint fool you... the fella obviously painted it up for the swap meet.
Ill see how it does, if it fights me ill order a new one.

That looks like a 10 to me. We have several 10 inch plows and two twelves and all are 10 inch have that square on the top/back of the plow. Ether way your 149 will pull the plow fine. I personally use a 14 horse with my 12inch

One of my plows are worn down pretty close to that, and it still plows fine.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
