Just tired. The one in the back popped it back up and it went back to work,,,,, mowing grass.

Yep, that is a mowing tractor, they got 3 of them to cut grass.

He was using it to clean out a ditch, to drain a field, using the tires on one side running up and down the ditch. Over she went!!

The "mowers" are the only ones without duals.

Dang I wish I still had dads old 400 could bought alot of cubs for what that thing sold for

I dont know the model #, but it's not a 'big box store model'...it came from a dealer for sure........ You can see EVERY pass he made across the yard. The JD marks it's territory by leaving a 'wind row' of cut grass, complete with a big clump/blob every 2'-3' or so. It looks really bad!

You are correct, all the big box stores mowers do that regardless of "color".

Hopefully this weekend I can spend some time with both of these machines to make some more comparisons . At the moment , the Cub sure beats the JD in the " comfort " catergory . Perhaps a seat would cure my buttache .

id take the 400 over the cub. the 400, 420 and 430 john deere garden tractors are just plain tanks.

The JD has steering brakes too. Also hydraulics in front mid and rear. Also comes with a shaft driven deck.
