Took a WAG at the correct hole locations and drilled some 0.72" holes to bolt on the weights.

This is the area I plan to fill with steel for weight.

I am also interested in your torch/plasma set up.
Is it a kit or did you build it from scratch and source all the parts yourself? I've seen kits like this for plasma torches but have never heard from a user. Do they do everything they claim, are they reliable, durable and accurate? How easy are they to program? Basically are they worth the money or just a headache to use and maintain? If they are easy to operate and maintain, they could be useful, fun and one could possible make a few bucks to recoup some of the cost. (The weight project is cool too. Can't wait to see the finished results) |

I built mine almost from scratch. I wanted "usable" holes for 1" pins, and highly repetitive parts.
The ones sold at a reasonable cost look like (and are advertised as) great tools to make artwork. I ain't usually an artist, although I have made that type torch cutting. My machine is supposed to cut up to 14" thick steel, 2" is the thickest I have ever cut. I will try to get better photos of the machine. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
