Actually I say its probably a reasonable price, depending on what missing I mean. A tiller is worth close to $300 alone. I have no idea what is missing but I dont think its a total rip off. Just not a super good deal.

Default Belts
As far as belts go, I took a tiller off of a 147 this summer and put it on a 149, and the belt from the 147 was too short. I was told not to get a belt from an auto parts store but use the sponsors at the top of the home page and get a cub belt, which I did. Price was over $90.00

Just getting into the Cub Cadet world. Purchased a 149 & 129 & tiller. My question is this, did CC utilize the hydraulics to lift an implement like tiller? I bought the 129 for gear box and it had the rod going to back to pick up rear implement, but it only has manual lift. Thoughts? Can one combine manual mechanizm rear rod to hydraulic lift that was available for mower deck on the 149?

Yes cub used the hydraulics to lift mower decks and tillers. On the 129 the hydraulic lift was a option. When they were building the 149, 1X8,9's they ran out of the hydro lift kits so some have them and some don't. There is no way I'd want to lift the tiller with a manual lift!

A tiller is not that bad to lift if you have a spring assist.
