That was good enough for me. The price was definitely right and it is all original. Along with coming with all of the original manuals, paperwork, and service receipts made it even better.
I think with adding in the attachments and all of the manuals and paperwork would add to the value a lot. Not to often you fine the recipts to back up what the owner has said.

I especially like the fact that the owner kept all of the original paperwork and documentation. That's pretty rare.

Hey guys thanks for all of the comments on it. Is the seat original? If so I think I will take it off and store it, and get a cheap replacement on for now.

Thanks,
Charles

A little bit of time with some rubbing compound followed by turtle wax, and that thing will look very very nice.

One of the best scores ive seen in a while! (all new to owner cubs are good scores anyway! ) Its great someone took the time to get all the documents to it and the advertisments and keep them stored safely away where nothing could happen to them. Congrats on a super nice 1000 and post some pics of the extras!

Thanks again guys. I just got the new alloy stainless 304 drive shaft and solid engine mounts in the mail. Tomorrow I'm removing the engine, and pulling the shroud to clean the mouse nest. I will start reassembling the clutch when I get the new pressure plates in.

You will also need a good clean rag. After it's all put together and running place the rag in your mouth and bite down. You will need to do this so the solid mounted engine doesn't vibrate the fillings out of your teeth....just kidding. If your going to keep this tractor you may want to look into the OEM mounts. They are a little pricey but everybody seems to think that is the way to go. Nice looking tractor and six pad seat. Good find and have fun with it. That's what it's all about.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
