You can get replacement wheels at tractor supply. The original rims are plastic. I ruined mine working the rake. That's how I got into cubs. I needed a york rake for one of my jobs and found a 128 with the rake and the rear blade. It did a great job leveling and finishing the loam for a lawn I put in. I use my rake weekly in the summer. It saves alot of work and does a better job than hand rakeing.

The rakes also worked good as a loader counter weight

JLM78: The wheels work good for finish work but unfortunately the tines are made of soft steel (which is a crime in my book) and bend up easily in heavy soil which makes you either bend the tines back down or re-adjust your gauge wheels up before the job is done. That is why I got a york rake for heavy jobs. Don't get me wrong I love that little IH rake for small clean up job's it's really handy but for big jobs your good with out the wheels or using a york rake. (Just my opinion )

Sweet pics! I love the rakes!

My kwik-way needs more counter weight then that. This isn't enough to keep the rear end planted I'll be fixing that as soon as I get it transferred to the 1864.

Methos: The rake worked pretty good but I know what you mean, I went to a weight box also but having the rake and loader together were great, I could pull stones or lawn debris into a row and scoop them up with one machine. But when I got into moving large pieces of wood I needed a little more ballast.

LOADERS RULE !

One of those rakes would look good behind Dually.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
