I have used two part hobby epoxy with great success, after cleaning the coil of any oily residue.

I'm attaching some photos of the bushing that I have. Or at least what is left of it. I'm checking with cub dealers to try and find a used one, as I can't seem to find a new one. So if you have a suggestion let me know!
Otherwise it will be a trip to the machine shop. I have a small lathe, but I'd have to find some material to start with. |

I recently had the PTO clutch off my 2084 that the bearing had siezed. I should have taken measurements at that time of the sleeve. If I recall correctly mine had one end larger than the other and fit flush in the front part of the pto. Your pic of the feeler guage has me a little confused. There are three slots around the pto to set the air gap of the clutch which is done after final assembly by turning the three nuts on the studs that have the springs. That gap which we set at 15 thousandths put my pto back to working order.

I just looked and I found a spacer that looks like the one you have but it is different than my other pto clutches. My other clutches have a spacer that has 2 different outside diameters. You need to slide your armature on the pto shaft on the engine and make sure that the bearing fits properly on it with no play. If the bearing isn't snug, then you need the 2-step bushing. On my other clutches, the armature bearing actually fits onto the smaller diameter end of the bushing.
