In order to mount the rod, one of the tips needs to be adjusted---sorry, I forget exactly how. I know since I had to use an electric lift rockshaft part for my hydraulic lift that I had to fabricate a rod that is 3/4" further out than the standard rod in order to make clearance. I use steel braided cable for and a set of U-bolts on some of my equipment, which tests to 750 lbs., and I believe it works quite well.

Default More Pics, Pump Install

I used what was there after I cut the pull handle off. I think the pics show how I did it pretty good. what do you think...

once I got the 90* bend in it , I had to heat and twist the bracket (pic3)

I'll start on the retainer clip next. but really not needed. if I have a plow or blade on it , the weight will pull the lift bracket forward anyway.

I think this is a good mod if someone buys a pump and the PO doesnt give you all the parts. I dont think it looks too cobbed up..

Doug,

That is a good replacement on the lift bracket that you have done, but the rat rod look seems too long and bother some--so I would cut it back. I really liked your adjustable pin that you put in your lift--nice idea and forsight to make it adjustable.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
