I'm not sure why you'd have to drill holes...those holes should already be in the frame.

I did look at the frame and there are two holes there, one threaded and one not threaded. So, it ought to just bolt on then, right? I'm going to pick it up and see what happens. Snowing here as we speak...supposed to get anywhere between 1 and 4 inches...let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
Thanks,
Jason

I have a plow and subframe that looks like the upper one in the picture.I thought it was something someone made work till I went to look up the number for new plow shoes on the Cub site and saw it. Anyone know what model(s) it fits ?
Good luck on your subframe hunt Jason.
Thanks All, Bob

Bob, can't help you with your subframe, but thanks for the well wishes. Good to see you on the forum. Do you have a plow for your 149? Are you using your cubs to do your driveway this winter? Your driveway is pretty steep. Hey, off topic, but did you try out your generator? I'd love to have one like that for the front of my cub cadets.

Jason,
I have the 1811 with a blower and snowblade, and I have weights and chains for it so hopefully it's up to the task.Only about an inch of the white stuff out there now but I know more is bound to show up sooner or later. I'm going to try the generator this weekend and will report how that goes.
Thanks again,Bob

BThein, the diagram looks like the frame I have for my 1650 (wideframe). I think it fits the Quiet Line models, and maybe others as well.

The upper frame is for the 76, 80, 81, 182, 282, 382, etc. lawn tractors. It says that in the parts diagram you got that exploded view from

Picked up the new to me bolt on subframe yesterday. Anyone know what size bolts I need to put the subfame on? I looked at a CC parts website, but didn't find the subframe parts breakdown. I looked under the 42" push blade and it didn't show the subframe. want to get bolts today and try it out!!
Thanks,
Jason

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
