Thanks for all the comments on the AMC stuff as well as the Cub. The Jeep has a 360 to answer that question.

So getting back to the "O" I took several pictures tonight of the progress in the past few days, but photobucket has completely changed the format

Anyway I disassembled the axles and noticed these bushings are a little wore. So the question is are they replaceable and if so where do I get the parts?



I took the brake drum out and the liner looks pretty good.



Special thanks to Duke who noticed on my very first post I was missing the emblem and he sent one to me free of charge Of course I will pay him back with something in the very near future!



I scrapped the grease flaking paint and crud for about an hour and the frame is a little cleaner. It also doubles as a work bench!






So once i scrape it a little more I will clean the whole frame and components with 409 or some sort of degreaser, wet sand the stamped steel, sand blast the cast parts, clean it off with hot thinner and prime it a couple of coats. Not sure if I dive into the engine once the frame is primed or what, but the project is coming along well!

Mike your welcome! Your making great progress! The bushing can be replaced. Your local cub dealer can get them or one of our fine site sponsors will have them. Make sure you line the hole in the bushing to the grease fitting.

Well I had a little time last week to roll her out and did some soda blasting>



It worked pretty well and I had to hand sand a few spots>



Primed the frame with some Kondvar DZ3. Applied really thick and wet sanded for a smooth finish>

I have had several set-backs in continuing this restoration.

Had to get the new 1650 last weekend which was a good thing

Trying to fix up the house we recently bought for our daughter. Anything that can go wrong has.

Our house we live in developed a water leak where the pipe comes through the basement to feed the main line in the house. Basically ruined a 20sf area of some hardwood flooring I installed 10 years ago and had to rip out sheet rock to get to the leak

Fortunately I now have a piece of angle going up to the leak and down in a one gallon bucket I'm dumping every eight hours.

Now today I will be digging a 4' deep hole outside to get to the pipe so I can fix the leak

Anyone ever go through these problems where they just seem to build and build ?
