Its 5 feet wide by 10 feet long...Perfect for to haul a cub cadet with an implement on the back. Has a tilt bed with a hydraulic damper cylinder to keep it from slamming down. My dad used it for many years to haul his cadets around to everyones garden in town. He had about 20 people that he kept their garden turned, layed out planted and cultivated. He never really liked the brinly setup so he devised an adapter to bolt the Sears/Roper 3 point hitch on a Cub Cadet. He still has about 10 peices of equipment that we still use to tend a garden and do household chores. The Sears 3 point stuff works awesome behind a cadet. Alot easier to fine tune than the Brinly hitch and equipment. I know over the years he has used that stuff behind a 70, 100, 124, 125, 1450 and a 782. That little trailer has hauled a Cub Cadet many miles over the last 40 plus years. The local IH dealer had a #7 that they used to pick up and deliver cadets with. It is the only other one that I have ever seen. Would love to find any original IH literature on it
Thanks Jay |

Ok thanks Duke! Everybody asks me where I got my trailer and then they don't believe me when I tell them it's a 60's model International Harvester! Standard response is.."they didn't make trailers!"
I will send Myron a msg Jay |

Jay, Thats one cool trailer. I would have said the same thing, they didn't make a trailer. Glad you posted this, now I will be looking for one. Wondering if you could post some pics of the sears hitch set up. Never seen it sitting on a cub.

Luke,
Thanks for the comments on the trailer...Myron B has verified that it is an authentic #7...he was kind enough to offer me some info and copies of an original brochure.. I will try to gather some pics of the Sears setup on the cadet. It is a real joy to garden with...dad always liked the ruggedness of the cub cadet with the versitility of the sears true farm tractor type 3 point...so he made the best of both worlds fit together We have a 125 with a manual sears lift...a 1450 and a 782 with hydraulic lifts.. Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
