The way I read his post the $360 was for the alternator not the tractor.

Donny

I don’t see the hood in the pics. If you need to replace all the plastic it can be expensive. If the dynamo is infect bad also some big bucks. Based on the appearance of the tractor in the pics my guess is it has not been well maintained. If you can pick it up cheap OK otherwise it can turn into a money pit. Just my 2 cents but assuming the plastic is good I wouldn’t give more than $700.00 for it and that is assuming that the rear end is not busted up. The upside is that the WG600 is an awesome engine, quite, easy on gas and with good care it will last a long time. I payed $1000.00 for this one with a 60" Haban. Pics of the as picked up and as it is now.

He has the hood, just has it off to work on it, said the tractor will work an hour before the battery goes dead, said it is a very good running and very strong, have not heard back from him, I asked him what they wanted, he wanted me to make offer, if so I will, but he might not like it, it is going to need a little cleaning, lol

Donny, it is worth that even if you have to part it. I picked this one up a few years ago. The engine in these tractors are awesome. Mine still looks like that but it still runs.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
