Well I did a bit more work on the disc this week. Got the tractor wired up & it's working great. It a bit slow to rise & lower the wheels. But who cares when ur having fun plowing. LOL Cannot wait to sink it into some dirt & see what happens.

Great looking rig! I'm guessing it weighs 350-400lbs. Anybody got any idea how much additional weight it would take to work well?...just curious.

Sorry about taking so long to respond. It's been a busy last few weeks. I did take it to the Pa Plowday & I made a few turns threw the fields at the end of the day. It work pretty good. I didn't put any weights on it because the ground was pretty wet & I didn't know how it would pull. It was hard pulling & I did a lot of wheel spinning. LOL But I was happy to see that it was working. Here is two videos of it.

I didn't do it, but in the second videos you can see a pin below the weight bracket. If you would pull it, it would let you swing the disc so you make a turn with it down.

Don't know the brand of this disc, but it was sold by a Ford tractor dealer.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
