Default Overload?

If you ever haul like that again Cad, try puting the heavy weights clear up front of the bed to put more load on the front axle. Makes a world of difference in handling and squats the whole truck insted of making the back end sag and attracting the attention of an unwanted police officer.

Works for me, (so far)

I was in Franklin County Virginia, half of the cars on the road are sagging in the back, so I did not attract any attention. (Google Franklin County VA)

Also, those weights are probably more than the weight of a Cub Cadet 128, at my age I was lucky to get them past the tailgate!!

Actually, the S-10 handled very well, considering the weight location.

We have 4 of the same weights for our Farmall A. Two on the tractor and two spares. I'm not sure how much they weigh. If I get a chance I'll put one on a scale.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
