Nice Super! Gotta love holding out for the right one! Let Sam go over the important stuff with you. I love my super clean 2084, but I have to do a rebuild on the command 20 after it blew out both crank seals on its virgin run. Make sure your breather system is working well and clean...

Your deck looks like my 54" deck on my 2084. To remove, I do use a jack at the front of the tractor. If possible remove the pin from the rear deck wheels and turn them to roll to the side. Front ones should swivel on their own. My deck is removed by pulling the spring loaded pins at the back of the mower and moving the deck forward to disconnect it from the front and remove the belt. the deck should just roll out from under the tractor after the mule drive is lifted. Be careful that deck is heavy.

Yep! Ain't it sad that the dollar has gone down that far in value in 15 years. People think their stuff has more value cause it cost more but inturn it's cause the almighty dollar needs to be put on a roll in the bathroom! Think about it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
