The main reason it was taken apart was to refresh the paint on it which still looks pretty good for not being assembled for 20 years but he's wanting to use it again finaly how he found out about me I'm not real sure he lives in normal il. I do believe had another buddy of mine go and pick it up since my ram is still a little down and out with a bad rearend so far I got the fenders and dash and a few of the electrical parts put on also I figured out the hydro linkage from a few pictures in the service manual now its on to the little stuff like safety switches and what not

It is supposed to mount underneath the seat in the battery compartment, on RHS of battery when you are facing the steering wheel.

Ok I have found out where the vr mounts and I cleaned the carb tonight. It fired right up so now I need to get all of my testing wires off and install the harness. Need to get a new dowel pin for the engine side of the driveshaft. As it was apparently cracked and tried to be a bullet flying by my head.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
