Default Nice!

There's lot's of repainted cubs (most of which are very nice) but ORIGINAL Originals...now there's a rarer breed.

Thats a really nice one!

I love the dealer decal with the three digit telephone number.

It needs a good cleaning and the front axle pin and steering need some work.

I just need to find the right font but what do you think

nice survivor Original. I have been looking for one for a little while now, but they are either total restorations or perfectly restored and big bucks, that is a rare and lucky find indeed!

Well, I adjusted the size a bit, reduced the yellow margin at the bottom, tinkered with the font a bit, and "squared" it up a little. Without having the actual dimensions of the original decal I'm trying to replicate, that's about the best I can do. What do you think, first or second better?

If you can get me the actual dimensions of the decal, I can make it a little better yet. And if you're serious, let me check around town to see if anybody local is able to print these for me on something that will last and I can let you know.

I made a couple calls today and to get these printed up, I would need to do them in sets of 8 with a minimum of 24 total labels (3 sets). I can get different labels printed up in those 3 sets, but again, they need to be in sets of 8. If anyone would like do to something like this, let me know. The cost would be about $15 per 8 labels plus S&H. As for durability of the labels, I was told the printing method that was recommended to me would be a happy middle of the road. To have actual protected, legitimate dealer decals printed up would be $100+. I was informed that the type of label that was recommended to me would hold up well unless it's rained on regularly or mistreated. It is considered a permanent-type stick label but it is basically lacking the extra protection the higher end labels have. So if we move forward with this, take care of your machine

If anyone is serious about this, let me know. Like I said, I can do sets of 8 for ROUGHLY $15 plus S&H. Heck, you could even make up your own "company" and have those printed. I think "J-Mech's Cub Cadets" or "ACecil's Cadet Wheels" or "Cubcrazy's Crazy Cubs" has a nice ring to it

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
