Musta been a lot of collectors there with DEEP pockets.
Those prices are crazy high IMHO. Now if I were the seller, I'd sure be happy.........

I know the box blades are hard to find but not $800 hard to find. Sorry you weren't able to bring something home. I would have came home empty handed as well.

I like auctions but the problem with them is you never know how much your going to get to take home and I had it both ways not bought anything to had to leave things setting in the driveway cause we did not have room to haul any more I don't care for household auctions on sat cubs always seem to go high then and collector auctions are another hit or miss

That was a heck of a auction! I got there at 10am and had to park almost 3 miles away.
I got shuttled up to the auction in a Polaris Ranger and the guy driving said there were people for Pennsylvania that drove to this auction.
I was bidder 277. I would like to know how many people were actually there!
I made the mistake of not bringing a trailer. It was a real bear cat to get into the yard with a trailer.
I bought the Original for $300 and the 100 right next in the line up for $250.00
A buddy brought home the 169. I have not been buying Cubs for too long but I met up with a couple "serious" collectors from MN and they were all shaking there heads with the way the prices finished out.
I hope the prices keep getting posted. It was nuts. Good for the Hobby.

DSP IH Neon gone $2600
2-4'x4' Plastic IH inserts $1,000 ea
300 NF standard Drawbar. Nice paint new tires $6,200
SM wide front nice paint, tires $5,700
560 Diesel with mounted Cornpicker $13,500

I did not write the prices down but these really stood out for me.

The owner actually loaded both the Cubs for me in my truck with his Bobcat. The auction was still going on. First Class Guy.
Beautiful collection.
Not only cubs and Tractors but the Implements were something to see.
All kinds of Little Genius Plows and Fast hitch implements.
I also brought home a pretty good Sunburn!
A couple of beers at the VFW helped.

well i know who you are now, i was going to buy that origional but i wanted that ez rake tractor. I was the one with the pony tail and the 2014 red power round up shirt. Ya Jim made out real nice, and was one heck of a stand up Guy. told you everything that was good and bad about the tractors. I partly think some of this went so high out of respect to him and his collection. seem alot of the people there he knew. the Auction was in Minnesota, MN.

Did the origional turn over, I talk to Jim early in the AM. he tought that was stuck. i was sort of off balance when that came up, still in shock what was paid for the burnt up one.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
